Cedar's Foods Review and Giveaway

Since we are trying to eat healthier in 2013, I have been really excited about trying out some new food choices, like hummus and pita chips instead of chips and dip, wraps instead of sandwiches and tea instead of soda. 

So when I found some Cedar's Mediterranean Food items in my Publix, I was more than happy to try them out. 

First I tried one of their salads, which they had SO many to choose from, but I picked the Chickpea Salad shown here.

 It was full of chickpeas, carrots and edamame beans, in a light dressing which was a GREAT pick me up snack in the afternoon, I love that it was prepackaged and COLD and ready to eat!
I actually went back to the store the next day and picked up a Taboule Salad because the chickpea was so awesome!

Second I decided to try a hommus. Cedar's has a lot of fun varieties of hommus including Artichoke Kalamata, Roasted Peppers and Garlic Lovers!

I chose the Artichoke Kalamata since it was the most unusual and it was awesome! I dipped some Cedar's Pita Chips into it and had a great snack, that was filling, satisfying and healthy.

I also really wanted to try their wraps, since eating a wrap is a lot healthier than a sandwich and we are trying to cut down on out amount of bread. 
I chose the Low Carb Wheat variety and actually used the hommus in place of mayo and tossed in some spinach, swiss cheese and tomatoes and it was one of the best wraps EVER.
