Captain Morgan 1671 Commemorative Blend Spiced Rum

It's now SUMMER, dust off the swim suits and bring out the coolers its time to hit the beach! Captain Morgan has been around for a long time now and is the perfect drink to mix with almost everything.

Captain Morgan has come out with 1671 Commemorative Blend Spiced Rum, its a Caribbean Rum with Spice and other natural flavors. It has a very interesting taste to it kind of a hard kick. The smell alone reminds me of ceder wood. Its truly unlike I have ever tried before.

The 1671 is to commemorative the captains last flag ship which he lost his vessel The Satisfaction on his raid on Panama. The reason the rum smells like ceder is it actually Spanish Oak and has traces of fruits and chocolate in it, finished with vanilla. It taste very earthy is the best way to call it, I also like that it does not leave a after taste, or burns for a long period of time. The 1671 rum is 70 proof so I would expect it to really have a bite to it but shockingly it doesn't.

Captain Morgan has a long line of Rums which to choose from making for a long enjoyable summer. Look for Captain Morgan at your local liquor store.
