Alabama is a beautiful state full of live and country. Montgomery, Alabama is the capital of the state, if you need your city life this is where you wanna be. Montgomery has a lot of new buildings which make up the city as well as older buildings which really make for a awesome night scene.
If your into Collage Football you know about Auburn, and Tuscaloosa, home of two of the top rated teams in collage football the Crimson Tide Elephants and Auburn Tigers two teams which dominate often in the Collage bowls. If you live in the state you know how divided it is and each team has much supported love from the states people.
When you think of Alabama what else comes to mind? For me I think country, lots of streams, lakes, and just nature. You can travel throughout the state and find all kinds of beauty like the Monte Sano State Park in Birmingham, Alabama. Monte Sano, Spanish for “Mountain of Health,” rises more than 1,600 feet above sea level. The mountain has attracted visitors since the mid 1820’s with the establishment of the town of Viduta, a derivative of the Spanish word “Vida,” meaning life. Viduta was home to a sanatorium and a hotel resort, Hotel Monte Sano, which opened its doors in 1887 and closed in the early 1900s due to a declining economy. It is truly a place to capture nature at its best. It cost $2 per person during normal days and $3 during holidays.
Did you know Alabama has beaches? Since I live in Florida I often forget that other places besides here and California have beaches even though a lot of the country does I just don't think about it since we are like known for ours. But come to find out Alabama has some pretty nice Golf beaches of their own. Orange Beach is a nice family friendly beach which has plenty of ocean for all. It especially has a nice sunset : )
Next time you think of a vacation why not think Alabama.
