1. Fruit Floss
· Ingredients:
1. 1 Banana
2. 3 Strawberries
3. ½ large Kiwi
4. ¼ Melon
· Steps:
1. Prepare fruit by slicing bananas and kiwi, cutting off strawberry tops and cutting melon
2. Skewer fruit onto popsicle sticks
3. Enjoy!
2. Banana Molars
· Ingredients:
1. 1 tbs Nutella
2. 1 Banana
3. Whole wheat Wrap
· Steps:
1. Lay your wrap flat and slater with Nutella
2. Place the banana on top of your chocolate coating
3. Roll the wrap as you would a burrito
4. Cut into 1 inch sections
This had to be my kids favorite! We love Nutella and of course bananas, which fast fact the ones with the brown spots taste sweeter and are better for you! Who knew! The idea of placing the two together sadly never crossed our minds, until we saw this recipe which made for some happy kids :)
3. Smile Salad
· Ingredients:
1. 2 cups baby fresh spinach
2. ½ small Granny Smith apple, chopped
3. ½ cup golden raisins
4. 2 tbs balsamic vinaigrette
· Steps:
1. Wash spinach and place in bowl
2. Chop apple
3. Mix raisins, apple and spinach
4. Toss with balsamic vinaigrette, or serve salad with dressing on the side
Pair any of these recipes with a vegetable of your choice – veggies are a great way to balance out any meal and keep your teeth clean by removing plaque!
