Macaron Detangling Hair Brush by Milk + Sass

I was born with super fine hair, it won't hold a curl for anything and sadly my daughter's seem to have their mother's hair as well. We can brush all we want but every morning we wake up with these horrible rats nest! Nothing hurts more than brushing our hair, I have given up a few times and just cut off chunks so I can get some sanity out of it. Thankfully this is no more! Thanks to the NEW Macaron detangling brush by Milk + Sass.

Milk + Sass knew what they were doing when they created the Macaron Detangling Brush. It is super cute, perfect size for any purse or if you really wanna you can get in your pocket! Even better the Macaron detangling brush comes with a mirror, so you can check yourself as often as you wish.

My daughter's were asked which colors they would like best and the younger one loves the color purple and the older one likes pink, so I received a soft pastel in both colors! There are so many colors to choose from, with the Macaron brush, they have a soft feel to them very smooth. So I tried out the pink brush on my daughters, they didn't even notice I was brushing their hair. It works that great! The Macaron is made up of a lot of small and large fine plastic bristles, so they capture and detangle the hairs without the pain.

You can purchase the all new Macaron  Detangling Brush from Milk + Sass here on their website.

The Crayola Experience at Orlando FL Mall

To me nothing is more important than getting my kids up and active. Nowadays, kids just sit inside and play on some kind of electronic device, my oldest will seriously disappear into his room for the whole weekend! Crayola Experience is a great way for everyone to get what they want.

When you pull up to the Crayola Experience located at the FL Mall in Orlando, you are welcomed by plenty of Crayola crayons which make for great photo oops. Then once inside there is a small interaction area in which you can control/be a crayon. My daughters and I had fun playing with the animation. When you get your ticket to Crayola Experience you get 2 tokens per ticket, tickets are $22.99 over 3 years of age at the gate. You can almost always get a deal on Groupon & on Crayola Experience site, 3 and younger are free. You can also purchase more tokens once inside the building.

All the fun takes place upstairs. The lower level is where you purchase your tickets, a gift shop with great prices and its own candy station, and the interactive crayon. There are 2 ways in which to get upstairs one is to climb stairs......great work out and the other is to take the elevators which are nice and roomy. For the adults they have FREE yes FREE charging stations! So you are able to get lots of pics and videos of your fun time at Crayola Experience. They also have lockers in which you can purchase for the day.

When you first come up the stairs, the first thing to do is to make a crayon at the Wrap It Up! station. For this you will need a token, my daughter's enjoyed naming and creating their very own crayon. The next thing we did was Be A Star which was really fun because you were able to pose with one of 5? Crayola crayon scenes and then become a coloring sheet!

After we made like every sheet possible we check out the Doodle in the Dark, which is a room in which you can color neon. At the Crayola Experience they have 2 play areas one for toddlers Toddler Town and another for older kids Color Playground, they have a huge Colossal Caddy which has tons of crayons and Crayola coloring sheets. Modeling Madness is another area which you can use your token to get a pack of modeling clay and practice your skills, this is where you might wanna purchase more tokens so you can get more colors to really make your model pop. The other places which I saw for tokens were a crayon dispenser which gave you a pack of 4 crayons & a marker dispenser, these were both located between the Doodle in the Dark and the Color Playground.

Art Alive, Color Magic, and You Design are all areas in which tech meets old school. With Art Alive you color your picture scan it and it will come to life. You can move it around and take a picture with your creation and send it to friends and family via email. The Color Magic you are on a tablet in which you select which item you wish to color, after you have created your masterpiece it will come alive on the big screen! You can watch for it to show up throughout the day as well. The You Design you can color a fairy which comes alive dancing or a race car, which we didn't do the car but I am guessing you race it?

Hungry? The Crayola Experience has a full cafe, Cafe Crayola, in which you can purchase lunch or snacks, you can even purchase a souvenir cup which refills are .99 cents each. They have small shows which you can watch while you dine. Once your full and happy go check out the Rainbow Rain another interactive screen which has the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple pouring down but as you walk you move the water. More fun things to do in which you can take home are the Melt & Mold and the Drip Art. At the Melt & Mold you can pick your favorite color crayon place it in one of the 4 molds which you can pick a shark, sea horse, ring and car. The Drip Art was my favorite, you pick your 2 favorite colors place them in a machine and it starts melting and spinning your crayon, which no two come out the same.

The last few things which are in the center of the Crayola Experience are the Meltdown which you can create your own personal pic with melted crayon, the Paint Palette, which is a bunch of watercolors and to make the process faster they have 2 huge drying stations which are giant oven like blow dryers. The Scribble Square, a place which everything is white and needs color, so there are markers, crayons, and even chalk so you can decorate the walls, street, trees, dogs and more.

Because I was on a time crunch, I was unable to check out the Crayola Experience Crayon Factory which was located right behind the Wrap It Up station, this is a fun live show on how exactly Crayola crayons are made. Wanna have a birthday party? Crayola has 3 party rooms and a really cool interactive dance floor which everyone can enjoy. You can find out more about booking a party here. My kids had a great time at the Crayola Experience and for $29.99 you can enjoy a annual pass. Also be sure to check out the Events Calendar before you come, they have Clinique, and soon Nasa will make a appearance.

SleekEZ Grooming Tool for Pets!

The SleekEZ is a new patent pending Pet Grooming product. SleekEZ is made up of an solid wood handle, and a saw like blade to really capture the fine hairs on your pet. The product works best on Dogs, Cats and Horses. SleekEZ comes in 3 sizes, Small which is 2.5" works best on cats and small dogs. The Medium which is 5" and works best on dogs, but can also be used on cats, and finally the Large which is 10" that is great for horses and larger dogs. You can purchase each SleekEZ separately or all 3 for $44.95.
When using your SleekEZ, I would suggest being outside so you do not have a mess to clean up afterward from all the hair it has removed. I also would recommend a washcloth or something to wipe the blade after you have done a few sections. If you are lucky enough to have a dog or pet who likes vacuums you can also groom while sucking up all the loose hair.

Just In Time for Valentines Day! Luxe by Mr.Bubble

Growing up, I loved bubble baths and the most common bubble bath I would use is Mr.Bubble. Mr.Bubble has grown up with our family and now, just in time for Valentines Day Mr.Bubble is coming out with a adult line! The new line is called Luxe by Mr.Bubble. The packaging alone is super cute! It has a retro look and comes in reusable tins.

The new Luxe by Mr.Bubble includes a slide-top lip balm, all time favorite Mr.Bubble powder, bath bombs in a martini shaker, body butter, a shower creme and body mist. Luxe by Mr.Bubble comes in 3 scents the original scent, Sweet & Clean and Sparkling Sorbet.

My personal favorite is the Sweet & Clean, I haven't even opened my package yet and can smell its sweet goodness. You can purchase all these great new products from Mr.Bubble at Ulta.com and Ulta Beauty stores. But wait! just in time for Valentines Day you can find two of Luxe's most popular products at your local Target retail store. Exactly what are Luxe's two most popular products? They are the Powdered Bubble Bath & The Bubbletini BathBombs, in the 2 scents Original and Sweet & Clean. Don't forget Valentines Day is just around the corner and kids also need love so look for Mr.Bubble in your local retail stores.

Children’s Dental Health Month is NOW and National Tooth Fairy Day, is Feb. 28!

I am a horrible parent when it comes to getting my kids to the dentist. Its hard to make appointment and then actually get them there, especially because for me it is never just the one kid. Thanks to Great Expressions Dental Centers I am getting better about making and taking my kids to their dental appointments.

Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC) is kicking off Children’s Dental Health Month (February) by helping parents, like myself and you all,  to stay involved in early dental care for their children.

Did you know that baby teeth serve a number of critical functions, including being involved in speech development? This means taking care of your children’s teeth from the earliest stages is essential to long-term oral health.

In an effort to increase parents involvement in early dental care, GEDC is encouraging parents to take their Tooth Fairy role seriously and make dental care a fun topic for their children. GEDC has put together some tips they would love to share:

Leave Notes! The Tooth Fairy’s job begins before a tooth even falls out. Share brushing and flossing tips by leaving little notes on the bathroom mirror or send a Tooth Fairy note with lunch to remind your children to floss after their meal.

·         Be fun with it and get creative! Make your children excited about the Tooth Fairy visiting! Try leaving a glitter trail from the window to the bed or leave a fun receipt. Consider leaving something extra special for teeth in good condition to encourage your children to take care of their teeth before they fall out.

·         Encourage healthy eating! Educate your children on healthy foods for their teeth by having the Tooth Fairy leave a sample shopping list and recipes. Take your child to the store and have them help pick out the items to encourage healthy eating habits.

·         Make dentist visits fun! Many young children fear the dentist, but use the Tooth Fairy to ease the fear. Have the Tooth Fairy send them a new toothbrush and toothpaste and practice so they become comfortable before their visit.

Sipsee the Best Way to Keep Tabs on Your Drink.

I don't know how often I find myself without a cap for a bottle, or a cork for wine, because it has either gone MIA, the dogs got it or my kids ran off with. The Sipsee is a new BPA-free, portable and customizable bottle stopper that fits into your bottles.

Another issue I face is when at a park, I will pack water bottles for my kids, each kid has their own bottle, but every so often the bottles get mixed. Now although they are my kids, sometimes they could be sick, or just dirty so yeah none of us wanna share a bottle. The Sipsee is the only patented, universal, reusable, fun way to help identify your bottle.

Because the Sipsee is customizable you can assign a color, sports, company brand, emoji and more. Now that you have a personalised Sipsee stopper, you no longer have to guess if that was your drink which in return keeps from germs being spread as well as tossing out a product which you are not sure of.

Sipsee also comes with a high-quality portable case and can be attached to a keychain, backpack, etc. for the road. Sipsee is available for $7.95 per unit or $23.95 for a four-pack you can purchase here

TreeUmph Adventure Course, Bradenton, FL OMG Best Day Ever!!!!!!

I had the opportunity to treat my dad and my sons to experience TreeUmph Adventure Course in Bradenton, FL. TreeUmph offers 4 different tickets, The Child ticket which is $25.95 it is for ages 7 & 8 in which the child is able to complete a Ape Course 3 times which can take about 2hrs avg time. The Junior ticket which includes 3 courses for ages 9-11, which is $36.95 it took us 3hrs to complete. The next is the Adult ticket which is for ages 12 and up, it includes all 5 courses for $54.95 can take 4-5hr to complete, and finally my favorite the Senior ticket which is for guest ages 65 and up, which is $42.95. All tickets with the exception of the child ticket include the massive 650 foot Triumph Zip line.

Ape Course (Child's Ticket)

When we arrived at TreeUmph Adventure Course, we were greeted right away by the friendly staff who are all geared up and ready to jump in and save anyone who gets caught up in a course. After being greeted by the staff you head over to the checkout which if you booked online you would have already filled out your waiver form, they had you your harness which you then get help from the staff getting it on and tighten.

Gearing up / Practice

Things to keep in mind when you decide to do TreeUmph Adventure Course. Have comfortable but tight closed in shoes on, you do not want laces, tripping you up. If you have long hair make sure it is tied up and to the back of your head, another thing which could get caught while on the course. Also it's Florida! So it is HOT, make sure you have clothing which can cool you and you have plenty of water. TreeUmph does have a water pass which you can purchase. The water pass lets you have access to coolers throughout the course which have ice cold water bottles inside.

After gearing up they have a video which you watch on what to do if your stuck, how to work your equipment and what you can and cannot do while on the course. The harnesses were new like NEW when we arrived all of the staff were getting used to them as well. The new harnesses have a magnet system which only allows for one clip to be opened at a time, so you are always at least on with a clip. Because of the clips and everything being new for the adventurer they bring you over to a small little set up to make sure you know what you are doing before sending you on your own to the courses. Michael my 11 year old did great right away, Brian my 12 year old somehow got the clip over the buckle and someone had to come and pop it off but once he did that he got the idea and we had fun.

The beginning!

Because we honestly had no clue as to what we were going to get into, and along with having my sons who were ages 11, and 12. We decided to do the Junior ticket which includes 3 courses, the first course is Climb On! Which started with us going up a ladder onto a walkway, net (which in the video I saw wimpy net, so to be clear its not a wimpy net it is just thin I used that word so my son got that it would not be as simple as it looked), steps, logs, swings and more! This is just the first course which also ended in a zip line in which you climb down another ladder to move onto your next course.

The 2nd course is The Scrabble. This started with a smaller rock wall and then because a set up of more smaller footing areas as well as a set of 2 zip lines and a barrel. Okay so this barrel!! LOL it was more of a challenge because of our size for me and my dad, you can go head first but then its a little funky to get out, which in the video you can see my dad went head first then backed up and went in feet first and got out fine. That was a challenge for sure for the both of us :) but it was still super fun. My kids went through it with ease because they could flip around inside and bring their legs out on the other end.

The Barrel! Ahhh ;)

The 3rd course is Ascend Course. This course you really start to feel your muscles and start truly testing yourself. Sadly my mom who was taking pics and videos went MIA so I don't have much to show :( but I will do my best to describe. You start the course with either a ladder or a telephone pole rock wall, well my kids opted for the ladder, my dad and I did the pole.....because you know you have to test your limits. So this is for me when I was like OMG this sucks LOL, I have never done a rock wall before and it always looks so easy..........it's not! Looking and doing are two totally different things, I got half way up and I was like oh .... I am stuck, mind you I have someone behind me so I don't wanna look like a fool. Which let me add this in here everyone is there to have FUN so everyone is super supportive and no one judges you. But again I felt like I looked like a fool, I sucked it up and figured a way to the top and that was when I started to feel my muscles going why!!!! I also had a good wake up call on how out of shape I was, especially when my dad who is older than me is like la la la weeee.
Feeling the burn!

So once I got to the top of the platform which also this is another thing, when on a platform only 3 are allowed on it at once, so sometimes you might get stuck hanging around on a step area midway but it's all good you have the harness. We were catching up to the group ahead of us, which if another person is moving faster than you, just let them go around. Also your allowed and encouraged to take pics while up in the trees but make sure your not holding anyone up, and you are not allowed to have your phone out on the zip lines.

Okay so let's get back on track :) once I killed myself going up the rock wall pole, you move onto a platform, followed with more ropes which have logs that are all swinging FUN! My sons almost gave up on the rope log swings because you have to catch your footing along with trust in the harness so you can reach out and grab the next rope all while you are up in the air, no biggy. I somehow made the rope logs swing together and hop over the other so then I was hanging on trying to fix that which I did. After that adventure, we had another zip line. On you, you have your harness which has the 2 metal heavy duty magnet clips, and you have your zip line anchor,  each time you come to a zip line you do your clips first then you unclip from your harness the zip line anchor pull that out and then place it on the line then lean back feet out and go. To help you they have it color coded on the zip line itself. Ladders you have a clip which goes on the front of your harness along with clipping your clips to a smaller rope on the ladder.

Safety

After the zip line of the 3rd course you now have a option which is to swing like Tarzan on a rope to a rope net or you can tightrope walk over, my sons did the tightrope walk over. Again me and my dad opted for the harder Tarzan swing. Okay so thankfully I was able to watch some other adventurers do this challenge and saw that when you swing you basically need to catch the net with your legs, feet, which I guess you can catch with your hands but maybe we all are more chicken than we think so we don't let go of the rope. So my dad was ahead of me and he swung and almost got stuck hehehe but thankfully it moved back towards the net and he was able to climb onto it, I went and was like a monkey I went smack right into the net and caught it with my foot ankle, okay so it hurt but only for a second as I held myself there. Then I had to maneuver the harness clips around so I could now climb over to the side and pull myself up and off. That was another oh I can feel this moment.

Now we had completed the 3 courses, we all wanted to continue onto the other 2 courses which got harder but since we only had the Junior were unable to do so. The other 2 courses though are the Lead course, and the Summit course, which each one gets harder and harder, you are seriously going through hoops, skating on a skateboard, and jumping paint can to paint can!

Weeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

So all that was left at this point was the Triumph 650 foot zip line! Michael was the first one up, which its a 3 tier climb up to the top, he got up and placed all his stuff on and went, then Brian was next he got to the top and wasn't having it, he freaked himself out with the heights, but once again he took a deep breath and went for it. Since me and my dad were below my kids we didn't know there was a radio in which they tell you all clear, so you listen for the staff on the other end of the zip line to say all clear and go. Oh how fun! Flying over everything, sad that the adventure was over but cannot wait to return!

The more the cheaper, if you book a group you can get a discount per ticket, they also host birthday parties and field trips! Talk about a day of PE :) We all plan to return next year once Michael is 12 and challenge ourselves with the adult course. You can find out more about TreeUmph Adventure Course by visiting their website here.
